Step 1:

On opening a specification, the specifier selects a work section. In this case, N13 Sanitary appliances and fittings is selected.

Step 2:

Manufacturers associated with this section are clearly displayed as the specifier prepares to complete clause 472 Warm Air Hand Drier.

Manufacturers’ information is now accessible to the right of the screen.

The specifier selects a manufacturer from the brands listed.

Step 3:

Clicking on the chosen manufacturer opens the custom manufacturer’s clause page listing all relevant products.

The Airstream 5000 warm hand drier product is selected from the product summary list.

Step 4:

Information about this product is displayed alongside a product image. General product information such as standard features, product options is also provided

Step 5:

The manufacturer and product specific NBS Plus clause is displayed. This product clause is a concise  and robust specification written in NBS format to help the specifier communicate their chosen product efficiently and with clarity. The specifier simply clicks "Add to specification" to add the product clause to the work section.

Step 6:

The product clause is inserted into the specification. Product options are displayed in drop down lists to provide fast and accurate product specification. These lists are customised to reflect manufacturers’ product options.

Step 7:

A record of the product guidance is stored within the project document to provide a permanent record of the product details.

NBS Plus offers the best view of your product guidance, clearly aligned for selection and use by the specifier in the right place at the best time.

Help on providing us with your product pictures

  • Throughout 2007 all NBS Plus content is being converted to the new format.
  • If you’d like to include product images with your NBS Plus entries please email them to images@thenbs.com. Product pictures must be in JPG, GIF or PNG format and be no larger than 400 pixels in width. Each picture should have a clear filename to help us associate it with the relevant product.
